JoinVelossimo Racing is a 501(c)3 non-profit entity that gives back to our community by racing for Susan G. Komen for the Cure (http://www.komen.org/) in support of breast cancer research, fundraising, education and awareness. We hope to bring exposure to this deadly disease affecting thousands of our mothers, sisters and daughters in our community each year. As a part of our team charter, we donate a portion of money raised each year to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Velossimo Racing is comprised of a both an Elite Pro 1-2 race team as well as a Cycling Club based in based in Austin, Texas. Our Elite team includes both masters racers and young promising riders that compete in Texas and around the country. Our Cycling Club includes Cat 3/4/5 racers as well as those who are new to racing. We are always looking for good, quality people who can offer something special to the team. Here are some of the things we consider to see if you are a good fit with Velossimo: -What type of person are you? We prefer spending our time on the bike and weekends at races with people who are pleasant, fun, and enjoyable to be around. -Are you willing to help out and offer your time, energy and elbow grease to make the team better? It takes a team to make good things happen and everyone needs to contribute. -Are you a good fit with the people on the team? Come to our Sunday weekly ride, meet some of the riders and find out for yourself! -Are you interested in racing? We are a race team that happens to have a club too.
